Dr. Kenny Broad is Director of the University of Miami’s (UM) Leonard and Jane Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy and an Associate Professor in the division of Marine Affairs and Policy at UM’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Additionally, he holds a joint appointment at Columbia University where he serves as Co-director of the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions. Dr. Broad also currently serves as Associate Editor of the American Meteorological Society’s Climate, Weather and Society journal. In 2006, he was the recipient of a prestigious National Geographic Society Emerging Explorer Award and was elected a Fellow National of The Explorers Club in 2009. |
