Baird Howland is interested in quantifying the structures underlying mass media, politics and public opinion. Prior to joining Harmony, he designed artificial neural networks to analyze political discussion on Twitter at NYU's Social Media and Political Participation Lab. Before that, he worked for several startups which included stints moving furniture, selling fiber optic internet service door-to-door, and programming recommender systems for a social networking app. Baird recently received his B.S. in Physics from Cornell University. If he's lucky, Baird can be found on one of New York City's basketball courts.
